Joy’s journey into yoga and movement began on the dance floor. Years of rigorous dance training taught her the beauty of movement but also revealed the toll it can take on the body. After a shoulder injury, she realized the need to listen and care for her body in a whole new way. That’s when yoga found her, offering a more fluid and intuitive approach that aligned deeply with her values. Here, she discovered a sense of freedom that wasn’t bound by technique or tradition – a movement practice that focused on what felt good and nourishing.

But Joy’s story doesn’t end with movement. As a musician and singer, she naturally started blending sound healing and live music into her classes. The vibrations of instruments, from singing bowls to her own voice, harmonized with the body’s rhythms, creating a unique experience where sound and movement became one. This fusion of yoga, music, and sound healing quickly became her passion, a way to bring others into a state of deep connection and self-awareness.

With over 800 hours of yoga training, Joy is now a dedicated instructor and sound healer, offering a unique blend of movement, music, and mindfulness. Her classes go beyond physical poses, inviting students to explore their full potential, embrace self-expression, and find their own rhythm on and off the mat.

Why I Teach Joy is passionate about helping others reconnect with their bodies and minds in a way that feels natural and free. Her approach focuses on mindful, connective movement that embraces each moment as it comes. She loves guiding students to explore their range of motion, find structure within their bodies’ natural patterns, and experience the joy of movement that feels both grounding and liberating.
